03.01 The twelve tribes are linked to the twelve signs of the zodiac:

03.02 The attributions of the signs to the quarters and elements is not that which would be expected by people with a knowledge of modern day astrology but they are consistent with Biblical and Zoharic references.

03.03 This additional level of correspondence moves us from a purely earth centred system out to a universal level. In Basic Kabbalah - Part 6 we stated that divine influence flows through the mediation of the planets and stars. The above table shows how that connection is made.

03.04 These correspondences are not exhaustive; there are more than the human mind can comprehend, but this forms a workable basis for fixing oneself in a kabbalistic universe.
