Teth is a sign of
resistance and it is associated with the concept "good". Goodness in mankind is
resistance against each individual's yetzer ha-ra (evil inclination).
The word for "good" is
(combining
teth with beth). Here we see resistance acting on one of the
primary dualities, yetzer ha-ra versus yetzer ha-tov. While the
teth is dominant (i.e. at the start of the word) then goodness results.
When the beth is dominant (

infer rashness or thoughtlessness of speech (i.e. the yetzer ha-ra is in
